Fashion Influences of the 50's

Audrey Hepburn: Kept it simple and had very elegant appearances. She loved clean lines and clothes the emphasized her tall and slim physique.
Elizabeth Taylor: Favored wasp-waist styles that played to her strengths and never shied away from showing her collarbone.

Elvis Presley:  Elvis sported the greasy black hair of a white Southern trucker (complete with sideburns) and the latest styles from black clothing stores. By the 1960s, Elvis had been dying his hair black for several years and started a sort of hair-sculpting regimen.

Grace Kelly: Glamorous yet understated style had such enduring appeal.

Marilyn Monroe: No matter what she dressed in, be it form fitting dresses or slacks and a blouse, she managed to draw attention to her figure without being provocative.
Marlon Brando: taught men how to dress like a "bad boy" in his motorcycle gang film 'The Wild One'.
