1. Coco Chanel: She concentrated on the Couture fashions after the war, however in this decade she introduced the Chemise dress, it was comfortable, showed off lushness and femininity.
2. Cristo'bal Balenciaga: He was very much into opulent glamor. His tunic dress paved the way for Coco's Chemise.

3. Pierre Balmain: Pure French style of elegance an grace. He popularized the Stole: where women took draping on top of their evening gowns.

4. Jacques Fath: Plunging Necklines, Hourglass figures. He took Dior's "New Look" to a younger audience. 

5. Christian Dior: Refined the look of woman after the war years with belly suits and tiny waists.
